The thin, convex ground blade is made of XC90 carbon steel which is easy to sharpen, gets razor sharp fast and holds an edge moderately well. Since carbon steel requires a little more care, it should be thoroughly dried after use and oiled occasionally - following this simple tip will protect our blade from rust.
The beech handle is well profiled and provides a firm, comfortable grip. The blade can be locked by a rotating ring, patented in 1955 under the name Virobloc.
